A Study on the Actual Condition of Management of Rehabilitation Institutes in Seoul

Abstract
Objective£ºThis study organizes the management system and condition of rehabilitation institutes in Seoul, investigates the current management condition, and provides the basic data to promote the provision of better service.

Methods : Initially, the existing legal ground and related resources are organized to understand current management system of rehabilitation institute, and the questionnaire for current condition of rehabilitation institutes in Seoul as of December 2031 (data from Seoul City, 2014) is re-analyzed to understand the current condition of management system. Based on the questionnaire designed by the research team, 90 rehabilitation institutes are investigated by e-mails to understand their management conditions. All data collected from them are reviewed by the research team and revised after the team directly confirm the data by the communication with each institute. The data are revised once more after finding the missing or illogical values by the 1st statistical analysis and making call to the rehabilitation institutes for correction; the 2nd statistical analysis is performed after the process.

Results : There are 90 institutes participating in the investigation for the current management condition of rehabilitation institutes in Seoul. As a result of this investigation, there are 2246 users for this 90 institutes(31 using facilities, 4 HWHs, and 55 residential facilities). As a result of analysing the service usage pattern by type of institute, the residential facilities show the highest values in institute visit, home visit, and work place visit for the monthly use of institute per capita. As a result of analyzing the pattern for each service type, the monthly use of counselling service per capita is 15.2 times for the HWH, 3.8 time for the using facilities, and 3.3 times for the residential facilities. The monthly use of program service per capita (social rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation, family education, and others) is 52.5 times for the HWH, 51.4 times for the residential facilities, and 35.1 time for the using facilities.
